Traveling to Singapore needs a number of considerations, and packing is the main one. Any kind of overseas travel is going to take a little more thought and planning than usual. The U.S. is one of the few places where taking extra luggage has been an option, only the recent changes to airline policies are making it much more cost prohibitive. Travel overseas, however, is typically even more condensed, where one bag per person has been the norm for some time.
This is not a bad thing at all, because learning how to downsize everything can have great benefits, where travel can teach how little we really need. If you find yourself shopping in Singapore, and it’s a very good idea, because aside from a Singapore restaurant , a shopping mall here is one of the nicest places to spend time, then you might see many things you like. If it’s too much for a suitcase, prepare to have it shipped, because this is an option that makes things easier for everyone.
The planning itself is still difficult, and sometimes it’s easy to forget things. This is a big worry and concern for those new to visiting the world and enjoying its hospitality and playing on all of the monkey bars. The good news is that one will find that even forgetting necessities can often lead to fun adventures in new places, trying to get the items one needs.
Aside from medications, there is not really much that can’t be found in a day or so. This goes for clothes, toothpaste, books, and umbrellas . There are, in fact, many umbrella vending machines in Singapore, and a few different companies that sell these. The average price is about 6 dollars.
Planning for travel here is only difficult when trying to consider all the various kinds of weather one might encounter in a tropical place. Only the worries melt away when one remembers that the people who live here have been working with the weather for generations, and no problem is new, and no problem is too large for a solution that can make it seem tiny as a hope for rainbows.

Even though the economy is said to be recovering, and American spending is rising as a result, most people still are being careful about how much they spend. The result is that fewer people are taking vacations , or at least when they do, they are much more careful about how much they spend.
Fortunately, it is still possible to go on vacation — you just have to know how to save money. Here are a few suggestions, gleaned from a budget travel blogger .
o Save money on food by packing healthy snacks and staying in hotels that offer a kitchenette in the room. Not only does bringing food from home and cooking in the room enable you to eat healthier, you can also save a lot of money by not eating out your entire trip.
o Save money on hotels by traveling in the off-season. Right now is a great time to travel — winter is over but the weather is not yet too hot, making road trips more comfortable. Even better yet, most hotels are still featuring the off-season rates — most hotels raise their rates in late spring for the tourist season.
o Look for budget hotels for the best deals. Accommodations are one of the biggest expenses of your vacation, so being able to save in this department can really make the difference between an expensive and an affordable vacation.
o Save on airfare by packing light. Many airlines are now charging for extra bags — checked luggage as well as carry ons. Don’t bring anything you don’t need, and plan your travel wardrobe around what layers well, what goes with everything, and what can easily be hand washed and hung dry in the hotel room if necessary.
Being tight on money doesn’t mean you can’t go on vacation or get that relaxation time you so desperately need. Even if you go somewhere closer to home and use the tips above to try to save money, you just have to be sure to plan a vacation that you can afford!

One of the first things that comes to mind when someone says Manhattan is shopping. Yes, this can be a never ending activity while in the big city. There are some of the great classic department stores as well as the small street markets to spend hours and hours wondering through looking for something unique or just really great. If the avid shopper knows they are going to New York then they will have saved up some serious shopping money and will need to have a plan of attack. It is all about what one wants out of the experience. If one is going to get some expensive classics than they may want to start with the upscale biggies.
To avoid blowing the money on lesser things head straight for Saks Fifth Avenue . This is one of the hot spots for designers such as Armani, Chloe, Gucci, Oscar, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Valentino and many more. There is always something juicy from Juicy Couture to be found in Saks. If that is a main goal in ones shopping experience than head for Saks before the money and the feet are spent somewhere else.
Other stores on the must visit while in Manhattan list include Macy’s and Bloomingdales . This is the home of the flagships to both of those stores. Both of these stores always have areas for hundreds of designers to display their garment masterpieces. This is were it is always fresh and new. Just being in the original stores is exhilarating and motivating. There is always a spark of creativity around every turn. When you are ready for another big must stop filled with new designers check out Bergdorf Goodman and remember to dress to impress before you go.
After the fan fair of the major designers has been scene it may be time for some more casual and laid back kind of shopping. Come and see where some of Manhattans up and coming designers may be selling their early creations. The New York City Flea Markets are really interesting. The markets are filled with not only clothes but all sorts of trinkets, jewelry, novelty items, art work and vintage clothing and furniture. It is a great way to get some shopping in and take in some of the city noise. It is all happening not far from your classy hotel room .
